A tour to the sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites of Kedarnath and Badrinath typically involves visiting two of the most revered temples in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Here’s a brief overview of what such a tour might entail:
- Kedarnath Temple:
- Located in the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini River, Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
- It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and holds immense significance for Hindu devotees.
- The temple can be reached by a trek of approximately 16 kilometers from Gaurikund, or by helicopter services during the pilgrimage season.
- The journey often includes picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and serene landscapes.
- Badrinath Temple:
- Situated in the town of Badrinath in Chamoli district, Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
- It is one of the Char Dham (Four Abodes) pilgrimage sites and holds great religious importance for Hindus.
- The temple is believed to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
- Pilgrims often take a dip in the Tapt Kund, a natural thermal spring near the temple, before proceeding for darshan (worship).
Schedule
The journey begins from Ahmedabad, all the participants need to reach the Ahmedabad railway station. Options for the train are:
- Direct Train (Yoga Express) – Ahmedabad to Haridwar
- Train via Delhi – Ashram Express / Rajdhani Train + Dehradun Jan Shatabdi Express/Bus
- Train Via Jodhpur – Departure on the previous night of the Camp date

(Participants will get around 4 hours of free time at Delhi / Jodhpur for shopping and fresh up.)
*Note: Internal traveling & Accommodation in Delhi / Jodhpur is not included in the package. Participants need to manage traveling from Old Delhi to New Delhi / Bhagat ki Kothi Station to Jodhpur Station (6KM) on their own, The Instructor/Guide will help in local travel arrangements.
