In December 2022, my friends and I embarked on a thrilling adventure to the golden city of Jaisalmer with Rapture Holiday. From Ahmedabad, Baroda, and Surat, we set off on an overnight journey, eager to explore the enchanting world of Jaisalmer.
Our journey began with a warm welcome to Jaisalmer. After a night on the road, we reached our campsite and were treated to a delicious breakfast. The campsite team gave us a briefing about the area and assigned us our tents.
Once we had our lunch, we set out to explore the hauntingly beautiful Khaba Fort and the mysterious Kuldhara Village. As the day drew to a close, we returned to our campsite, just in time to witness a mesmerizing desert sunset. The evening came alive with a campfire, allowing us to share stories and laughter under the starlit sky.
The second day began with an early breakfast before we headed out for a thrilling desert trek. The golden sands stretched as far as the eye could see, and we felt like explorers in a vast, sandy wilderness. We returned to our campsite, this time via a camel safari, which added a touch of authentic desert adventure to our trip.
After a satisfying lunch, we geared up for a jeep safari and parasailing, adding a dash of adrenaline to our desert experience. As the sun set, we were treated to a mesmerizing cultural program with folk music, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in the rich Rajasthani culture. Dinner was a feast of delicious Rajasthani cuisine, leaving our taste buds tingling with delight.
On the final day, we savored a hearty breakfast at the campsite before bidding farewell to our desert oasis. We headed towards Jaisalmer city to explore its historical and cultural treasures. Our itinerary included visits to Bada Bagh, the iconic Jaisalmer Fort, Gadisagar Lake, Patwon ki Haveli, Salam Singh ki Haveli, and the Jaisalmer War Museum.
As the day unfolded, we immersed ourselves in the rich history and stunning architecture of Jaisalmer. With a heavy heart, we left Jaisalmer at 5 PM, carrying with us the wonderful memories of this incredible journey. The drive back to Ahmedabad was a mix of nostalgia and the satisfaction of an unforgettable trip, and we reached home by 6 AM the next morning.
